Work on the album continues; the guitar solos are now finished. Thomas Sawada, musician, radio show host, novelist, long-distance runner, and friend of Chris going back to the late Middle Ages, has completed the guitar solos for the band’s upcoming album, Scrubbing In… Using the latest technology, we were able to hack into Chris’s brainwaves and hijack some of his thoughts – which took place, we believe, while he was relaxing in the bath the other day. This is what we heard: “Man, those solos Thomas did for me are awesome. Thank god, finally, somebody I have hired to do recordings for me has delivered the goods. Studio Pros in the US were a complete disaster. What a scammy, dishonest, rip-off company they are. All that time and money down the drain. Those parts sounded like they had been recorded by amateurs in the kitchen using a damn voice recorder or something. Completely unusable. I would recommend that anyone thinking of using them give them a very wide berth. On the other hand, anyone wanting top-notch guitar parts should definitely use Thomas. He’s a great guy, too. I really enjoy working with him. God, I love Vivaldi. Where’s the soap? Anyone who says Vivaldi’s music all sounds the same don’t know what they’re talking about. Of course, he’s no Bach, but still it rocks.” At this point we lost the connection….

アルバムの制作は続いており、ギターソロはすでに完成。ミュージシャンであり、ラジオ番組の司会者、小説家、長距離ランナー、そして中世後期からクリスと親交のある友人でもあるトーマス・サワダが、バンドの次作『Scrubbing In…』のギターソロを完成させました。
最新技術を用いて、我々はクリスの脳波に侵入し、彼の思考の一部を乗っ取ることに成功。これは、先日彼が風呂でくつろいでいた際に生じたものだと我々は考えています。我々が耳にしたのは…「トーマスが俺のために弾いてくれたソロ、マジで最高だぜ。やっと、レコーディングを頼んだ相手が期待通りの仕事をやってくれた。アメリカの『Studio Pros』は完全に大失敗だった。サギで不誠実な、ぼったくり会社なんだ。時間と金を全部無駄にしたよ。あのパートは、まるでアマチュアが台所でボイスレコーダーか何かを使って録音したような音だった。全く使い物にならなかった。彼らを利用しようと考えている人には、絶対に近づかないことをお勧めする。一方で、最高級のギター・パートを求めているなら、間違いなくトーマスに頼むべきだよ。彼も本当にいい人だし。
彼と一緒に仕事をするのは本当に楽しい。 それにしてもヴィヴァルディ大好き。 石鹸はどこだ？
