After over a year spent working on finalizing scores and getting Defibrillator Studios up and running again, Chris is finally back at work on the album.
After hacking into Chris’s e-mail account, we discovered the following in an intra-band e-mail: “I think I have now finally recovered from the Great Crash of 2016! It took me a whole year, in the end, to sort out the equipment – computer, hardware, software. Not to mention upgrading the hard drives to take advantage of my new processing power!
“So now, finally, I am back to work on the tracks themselves. I didn’t lose even a single bit of data, of course, since – as one should be – I was and am totally OCD about backing up my data all the time. However, I have lost a lot of settings, since all the software had to be upgraded and reinstalled. Inevitable, I guess, but still annoying. Right now I am going through each song, one track at a time to make sure every track is sounding how it did before the crash. I have a list of tracks for each song, so I can tell you that currently the 14 songs on the album represent a total of about 250 tracks. So it’s going to take me a while to get the tracks sounding how they were before the crash. Don’t hold your breath!
“And when all that’s done, I’m going to turn my attention back to the guitar parts. And before I record the vocals, there are a few new guitar bits I want to record, too. Don’t hold your breath there either….!”
１年以上かけて、楽譜に磨きをかけ、ディフィブリレイター・スタジオがまた動くようになって、クリスはようやくアルバム制作の作業に戻ることが出来ました。
クリスのメールにハッキングしたら、クリスからのバンド内のメールにこのようメッセージを発見しました：「Hey, hey, 皆！いいニュースがあるよ！2016年に起きたマックの大クラッシュ事件からやっと完全に復活したよ！結局１年以上かかったよ！新しいマックの端子も前と違うから、レコーディング用のドライブまで更新しないといけなかったし。大変だったよ！」
「今現在やっとトラック自体の作業に戻れた！もちろんマニアックに毎日毎日データーを一生懸命バックアップする人だから、セッション自体のデーターを１ビットも失くさなかったよ。ソフトを全てアップグレードして、再インストールする必要があったから、ソフトの設定は90％失ったね。まあ、しょうがないけど、むかついたね。」
「現在それぞれの曲、１トラックずつをチェックして、マックが死ぬ前の状態に戻そうとしているよ。トラックのリストがあるから、アルバムの14曲には合計250トラックはあることが分かるね。しばらく時間がかかるよ！少々お待ちください！」
「全曲を元に戻したら、ギターの作業に戻るつもりだよ。ヴォーカルやる前に、追加のギターのパートを収録したいから、これも、少々お待ちください！」
